A "post death" remembrance service is particularly suitable for loved ones who may have chosen to have a direct cremation or where there were too many mourners to accommodate at a funeral service.
Many people these days are choosing to have a direct cremation where there is no service. However, this in turn may have a negative impact on those left behind as they may feel that there has been no closure and therefore struggle with their bereavement recovery.

Holding a memorial service is a perfect opportunity for family and friends to still remember and celebrate their loved one, say farewell in their own way and hopefully comfort the bereaved in the times ahead.
A memorial service away from the restrictions of crematorium or graveside timings also means you can incorporate as much content as you wish in order to remember your loved one in the most fitting way that honours and celebrates their life.
The venue for a memorial service can quite literally be .... anywhere! Did your loved one enjoy a specific sport perhaps - great, what about a sports venue? Football or golf club? Perhaps outdoors in nature - a field, forest or your own back garden? The choice of venue is only limited by your imagination.

Alternatively, most services are usually followed by a wake. Obviously with a direct cremation there is no service, but that doesn't stop you still having a wake at a hotel, or community hall, perhaps on the day of the direct cremation, allowing you to celebrate your loved one in the most fitting way and for you to say farewell in a positive way.
A memorial service can take the same format as a traditional funeral service, or you can mix it up with favourite music, singing, dancing, prayers or meditations, personal tributes from friends and family - again there is no limit to what can be included in a memorial service.

You can also include a video screening of their life. I can create beautiful presentations to the music of your choice (extra charge - example available on request.)
And you can still have Orders of Service for example, for your guests to take away as a keepsake of your loved one.
There are many online resources where you can create your own page and tribute for your loved one. You can often also combine this with a charity donation page.
Just Giving is one of the more popular ones but my particular favourite is Much Loved. It is super easy to use, you can create something really special, add photos, music, video tributes and visit often and light memory candles and you can set up a charity feature for other people to visit and donate to. They can also contribute to the page,.
I have a couple of tribute pages of my own loved ones on it, and I visit it at every anniversary to light a candle or just when I am feeling down, to go through the photos and memories.. I can't recommend them enough (and no, I am not getting paid to say that!!) You can find Much Loved at www.muchloved.com or click here:
